President's message

Dear Fellow Physicians,

Happy New Year!

It is a privilege and honor to serve as president of IMASC. I am thankful to all past presidents for their hard work to bring the organization where it is today.

As times are changing, there are challenges we will likely face in the coming year. However, I am hopeful that we together can overcome such challenges. We are stronger together and there is always room for improvement.

I urge all members to think as if “you are president” and send at least one or more suggestions that you would like to see implemented to make this organization even better.  After all, success is knowing that we did our best to make IMASC reach its maximum potential.

We should definitely continue to engage in more activities for a higher cause and help the community that gave us many wonderful opportunities and community of origin. I believe fulfilling these goals will provide us lasting satisfaction and happiness.

We are all proud of our Indian Heritage and want to increase participation of all physicians of Indian heritage, especially young physicians and medical students. In order to do this, we should provide network support and scholarships to the next generation.  We should recognize their academic achievements so they are encouraged to go even higher based on merits.

I hope for everyone’s support so that we can have meetings to increase our knowledge, have fun, and provide services to our community.
